QV Web Services to launch Reward Scheme at glee 2010
A brand new customer reward scheme has been added to the range of e-marketing services of QV and will be launched at glee in September. The scheme will revolutionise the way, and the frequency that garden centres communicate with their customers, away from the expensive, 4 to 6 times a year hard-copy mailings. Digital newsletters can be send on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis and reward value will be added electronically to the customer account, which they can check themselves online. There remains of course the option to send hard-copy mailings to all, or part of the database or specific one-off mailings at strategic times.
2010 Figures by the Office for National Statistics are expected to show that over 83% of 45-64 year olds use the internet and the 65+’ers are the fastest growing age group with over 55% regularly using the internet to find information and using email.
To maximise this media QV are charging a flat monthly rate for the reward scheme, irrespective of customer numbers or mailing frequency, enabling the retailer to send over 250,000 newsletters a year, in the basic program, making it the most cost-effective reward scheme in the industry for medium to large date bases.
For retailers who are currently running an outdated paper-based scheme there will be a migration option to convert customers to email. During this migration process paper mailings (with or without reward vouchers) can be executed at a cost around 25% below the industry’s norm. The system will furthermore be able to continue using existing reward cards in circulation, without the need for re-carding.
